My boyfriend is not a fan of photos (whether its taking them or being in them) so this video took a lot of persuading. Luckily, he’s been getting more and more curious about my channel as we watched our little community grow, so he felt more comfortable participating - so thanks, guys!

Read MoreThe last leg of our little Europe adventure was by far the most tourist-y, but charming all the same! We flew from Copenhagen to Amsterdam, took the train into Central Station, and then took the tram to our new neighborhood of Spui. I knew from the first glimpse of one of many bookstores (below) that I would love this area.
Read MoreMy first experience with Korea was the summer of 2012. I was a junior in college and regardless of the fact that I was a very healthy weight, I was painfully obsessed with my body’s shape and size.
Being insecure about your body causes you to do things that only others suffering the same self hate could understand. Looking at every pair of thighs on the street comparing their size to mine, not even bothering to browse the sleeveless section in stores because I know I’d never show my fat upper arms, and the like.
Read MoreAfter 36 hours in Oslo, Olivia and I boarded a DFDS Seaways ferry to Copenhagen. The 17 hours ride was not one I will ever repeat, though none of it was the fault of DFDS, just my paranoia.
The ferry was a full-blown cruise ship with duty free mall, rooftop bar, spa and pool, and even a cafe where Olivia and I met the first of a long line of hilarious Danish people.
Read MoreOriginally the plan was just Copenhagen and Amsterdam, but my friend, Olivia, is absolutely obsessed with Norway and wanted to tack that on to our trip too. I am so, so glad we did. Here’s what we got up to in the short time we were in Oslo
Read MoreAs the outer edges of a typhoon passed over Korea, my boyfriend and I boarded a bus bound for a town I hadn’t heard of until a few days prior. I had been wanting to spend a quiet weekend in the mountains for a while, and after finding the perfect spot on AirBnb, it was finally happening.
Read MoreHi guys! Before I start posting about my recent (amazing!!!) Europe adventures, I wanted to share a really cool promotion that is going on with my favorite Korean beauty and skincare brands!
Read MoreI've been to Daegu once before with my boyfriend and we fell in love with it. Daegu is oen of the few cities in Korea that has held on to a large youth culture, as many 20-30 year olds in other cities move to Seoul for work and leave the towns with the vry young and the very old. This has caused Daegu to keep a cool night life, cafe culture, and art scene alive and makes it such a fun place to visit.
Read MoreHi guys! I've been getting a lot of questions about what books I've been reading lately and I decided to put them all together in an end-of summer book haul of sorts haha! Hope you enjoy and I'd love to know what you've been reading!
This weekend I was alone in Seoul because my boyfriend took a solo celebration trip for completing his military service and finally being free! Hooray! That left me with a three day weekend to explore, and I did.
Read MoreLast weekend I took a bus outside of Seoul to the Korean Folk Village where I pet a cow, watched a man jump on a tight rope backwards, and more. If you're looking for the best tourist experience for traditional Korean culture, this is it!
Read MoreKorea during the autumn months is pure magic. The air is crisp, the trees are bright yellows, oranges, and reds, and you can catch whiffs of sweet potatoes and apples while walking near markets. It's my favorite time of year, and I want to share one of my favorite places to explore just outside of Seoul when the leaves are at their brightest.
Read MoreIn high school, nearly everyone took ceramics as an elective. I, however, decided to take two languages and never got to use a pottery wheel, until about four years after graduating (shudder) and moving to Korea. My boyfriend and I had the opportunity to visit Cheolsu's Pottery Workshop in Itaewon thanks to One More Trip, Seoul Tourism's official site for cultural experiences.
Read MoreBusan is without a doubt one of my favorite cities in all of Korea. It's the second largets city after Seoul, but its beaches and warmer weather gives everyone a laid back feel. It's like comparing New York and San Diego. I love the bustle of the city, but Busan's chill atmosphere and colorful sites can't be beat.
Read MoreAll of Korea has been suffering through a heat wave these past two weeks. Apparently temperatures, especially in the mornings, haven't been this high in a hundred years (lucky us...) So don't mind me hopping from air conditioned building to air conditioned building all weekend long!
Read MoreOlympic Park is one of my favorite places in Seoul because it is so expansive and changes so gloriously each season. If you saw my post about the poppy fields in June, you are already familiar with this little corner of the park.
Read MoreIn case you're new here, my love of Haruki Murakami is no secret. My first tattoo was actually inspired by his novel Dance Dance Dance!
So imagine my delight when I found not one, but three cafes inspired by him here in Seoul all within walking distance of each other. Let's take a look at them~
Read MoreWhenever there is a long weekend here in Korea, I try to explore a new city. On one three-day weekend in March, though, my boyfriend and I decided to spend time in a city I had already been to, albeit 5 years ago. Gyeongju was actually the first city I ever visited outside of Seoul back when I was studying abroad here. I was just following my friend's lead since they could speak Korean much better than I could, but this time I was excited to plan my own trip!
